Task Orchestrator

A personal open-source project: a cross-platform offline task manager built with Tauri 2, React, and SQLite. Hands-on engineering — from architecture and UX to a working desktop/PWA product, using AI-assisted development, including Claude Code.

Task Orchestrator — main window

Why build a task manager?

I wanted a tool that works offline, stores data locally, and doesn't require an account. Nothing on the market fit — so I built one. The result is a ~5 MB app with zero telemetry, SQLite under the hood, and keyboard-first interaction designed for speed.

I value staying in direct contact with engineering work — and with what software development actually looks like today. This project covers the full cycle: architecture, desktop and web builds, sync mechanisms, and UX. Development was done using AI-assisted tools, including Claude Code.

Highlights

Keyboard-driven UX

Quick entry with shorthand tokens, full keyboard navigation, minimal mouse interaction.

devices

Desktop + PWA

Native desktop app via Tauri 2 and a mobile-friendly PWA — same interface, different runtimes.

sync

Optional Google Drive sync

Cross-device synchronization without third-party servers. Your Google Drive, your data.
